The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held in Qatar between November 20 and December 18, 2022. There will be 32 teams in the tournament, but only the host country, Qatar, was automatically qualified. The remaining 31 teams will be chosen through a qualification process. There will be 64 total games played throughout the course of the tournament, with the 32 teams being split into 8 groups of four. Teams that have been selected will announce their final roster. The same is accomplished through the use of two lists, a “release” list and a “final” list.
